United States Marine Corps Joint Ceremonial
Exhilarating performance of precision, drill movements, impressive music and spectacular fireworks!
Fort Henry National Historic Site of Canada is pleased to present the Battle Color Detachment of the United States Marine Corps for two performances on Saturday, August 18 and Sunday, August 19, 2018 starting at 7:00 pm. The relationship between the Marines and Fort Henry goes back to 1954 when the Marines first visited the Fort. This visit marked the anniversary of the Ogdensburg Agreement, which was signed by President Roosevelt and Prime Minister King, to bind the two nations in the joint defense of North America. Since that time, the two units have paraded together countless times both at Fort Henry and at Marine Barracks, Washington D.C.
