Fort Henry Hospitality
Fort Henry provides a magical backdrop to any reserved event or hospitality function any time of the year.
Combine this with service by soldier servants in period costume and a sumptuous food presentation and your
event will be a certain success. The variety of food and beverage programs offered at Fort Henry by Jessup
Food & Heritage is wide and varied ranging from sophisticated cocktail receptions and banquets to grilled
hot dogs over the barbeque. Whatever your hospitality need Fort Henry is sure to have a solution. More
information concerning food service programs at Fort Henry can be found by visiting www.foodandheritage.com.
RESERVED EVENTS
For reserved groups, the fort has a variety of special activity areas that can host everything from an
exclusive cocktail party and banquet to a casual picnic. Capacity depends on the nature of your event,
but the grounds have the potential to accommodate several thousand participants. Recently, the fort
has become a popular destination for wedding celebrations and corporate events.
A popular program for reserved groups of 15 or more is the Barracks Banquet where costumed staff
representing soldier servants take your and your group back in time as guests of the Officers' Mess
at Fort Henry from the mid nineteenth century. Menu options reflect the tastes of the Victorian
period and animators bring the event to life with stories and anecdotes about early Fort Henry.
SPECIAL DINING OCCASIONS
The Officers' Dining Rooms are open to the general public for casual dining on special occasions
throughout the year such as Robbie Burns Day, Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Thanksgiving
and throughout the Christmas season. Usually prix fixe menus in the $15 to $25 price range are
prepared for each special occasion. For more details about special occasion dining occasions
visit www.foodandheritage.com.
GROUP TOUR & SCHOOL GROUP SERVICES
Special menus and rates are available for group tours and school groups. A meal in the Officers'
Mess or Soldiers' Canteen combines perfectly with a guided tour of Fort Henry for your reserved group.
THE SOLDIERS' CANTEEN
Throughout the summer season the Soldiers' Canteen is open daily with a variety of light lunches,
and à-la-carte menu items, snacks and beverages. The Soldiers' Canteen is licensed for the sale
of wine, beer and spirits.
DINNER & A SHOW
On the evenings of all Sunset Ceremony performances during July and August visitors may participate
in two Dinner & a Show dining packages. Packages include a three-course dinner served by soldier
servants in the Officers' Mess followed by VIP seating or reserved bleacher seating for the Sunset
Ceremony performance. A value-priced alternative is the barbeque meal served in the performance
area prior to the Sunset Ceremony for just $9.99 (inclusive) plus the price of admission. For more
information about these programs visit www.foodandheritage.com.
