KINGSTON, Ontario – Join Fort Henry this Saturday, July 16 at 7:30 p.m. for a night of music and British fun featuring Kingston’s own Brasswerks with members and a 100 person choir as they perform the sounds of British patriotic music in a sing a long pub environment. The Fort Henry Drums and Drill Squad will join their invited guests on the parade Square at certain points of the evening. Classics will include Rule Britannia, Amazing Grace, Jerusalem & Pomp and Circumstance. Pack your Union Jack and head to the hill! This event is sponsored this year by the new Marriott Courtyard and the Residence Inn by Marriott. Event sponsors also include Tourism Kingston and Rogers Wireless.
The music of the evening will include Lakeside Fanfare, Seventeen Come Sunday, All Through The Night, Ye Banks and Braes, Eternal Father, Amazing Grace, Fantasia on British Sea Songs, Jerusalem, Pomp and Circumstance and Rule Britannia. Over 150 performers including members of the Kingston Symphony and the Drums of the Fort Henry Guard will play. The night will be capped off with a Fireworks Finale.
Guests can also arrive early and dine at an à la carte BBQ service by Jessup Food and Heritage. The BBQ service is available in the performance area from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. along with a full bar service.

The Fort Henry Season Pass provides great value giving unlimited visits to Fort Henry all season long for just $35.95 per adult plus tax. The pass includes free parking, offers 50% off admission to Upper Canada Village in Morrisburg, $2 off admission for a guest day admission accompanying the passholder, 15% off regular merchandise in the Garrison Store and two free Sunset Ceremony passes.
In 2009 the St. Lawrence Parks Commission (SLPC) saw increased in attendance at a number of its major special events giving a much-needed injection to total attendance numbers at the attractions. Combined attendance at Upper Canada Village and Fort Henry’s special events made up 40% of total visitor attendance to the SLPC’s two major tourism attractions – a clear indication of the importance of events to Ontario’s tourism product.
The St. Lawrence Parks Commission, an agency of the Government of Ontario, operates facilities in 16 municipalities stretching from Kingston to the Quebec border, including Upper Canada Village, Fort Henry National Historic Site of Canada (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), Crysler Park Marina, Upper Canada Golf Course, Upper Canada Migratory Bird Sanctuary and 12 campgrounds and day-use areas including the Long Sault and 1000 Islands Parkways.
