Fort Henry is excited to announce that the Fort Henry Trade Square, a small artisan shopping district inside the walls of this historic site is now accepting applications for 2026! The Trade Square operates during weekdays and weekends, as well as extended hours for evening shows, seasonal attractions, and special events. We are offering 18’W x 30’L rooms (casemates) for rent to local business owners or artisan makers to operate their shop.

Shared rental opportunities

• Shared Space: We are now offering the opportunity for artisan makers and shop owners to share the 18'W x 30'L rooms (casemates) with other vendors, making it more accessible and affordable.
• Representative Requirement: There must be one representative available during shop hours to manage the space.
• Flexible Arrangements: We are open to various shared rental arrangements and will determine the best fit based on the applications received.

Submitted applications will be used to determine interest, needs, and compatibility, and does not guarantee a spot in the Fort Henry Trade Square.

If the application is accepted by Fort Henry, the vendor will be asked to provide payment and sign an official contract that outlines the full terms and commitment which will then guarantee a casemate in the 2026 season.

The deadline for submitting the application is February 28, 2026.

All Trade Square Vendors are expected to operate during the events at Fort Henry in addition to daily programming.

The list of 2026 events are as follow:

Storage space is contingent on availability; vendors renting stall spaces will have priority over vendors requesting storage space. No storage will be available for Vendors who have terminated their Agreement and will not be returning. Storage is not available during the Main Operating Season.

The Fort Henry team reserves the right to choose vendors who fit most closely with the vision of the Trade Square, which is to provide a unique shopping experience featuring locally made artisan products for our customers. All vendors will be assigned a stall based on availability, length/type of commitment, and the best interests of both Fort Henry and the vendor. Eligible new vendors will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis until Trade Square stalls are full. Returning vendors in good standing will have first right of refusal to return as a vendor and will have until January 31^st, 2026, to confirm they are returning.
