Join us for an annual event showcasing the drill and musical skills of various Ontario acts. Bands including fife, brass, pipe, and drums fill Fort Henry’s parade square with music culminating in a massed bands grand finale and a stunning fireworks display!

Please note that tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable.

Located at 1 Fort Henry Drive, Kingston, Ontario.

The show runs from 7:30pm-10:00pm. Access to the lower Fort opens at 6:30pm and the show begins promptly at 7:30pm.

General Admission includes bleacher seating and is first come first serve.

Premium seating includes:

  • A reserved seat in the elevated balcony section of Fort Henry
  • A comfortable high-back chair with armrests
  • An optimal view of the performance.
  • A freshly squeezed lemonade and chocolate chip cookie from our bakery is supplied complimentary to all balcony patrons.

Advanced reservations are recommended as balcony seats are limited. Please note that balcony seating is not accessible.

There is one 15-minute Intermission at approximately 8:30pm.

Washrooms will be available in the Advanced Battery and in the Lower Fort. Enhanced cleaning measures are still in place.

Yes, the show is designed for a bilingual audience and includes content in both English and French.

The show goes on! The event takes place entirely outdoors, so please be prepared for the weather. In the case of severe inclement weather, Fort Henry may choose to delay or cancel the show for the safety of our visitors and staff. Please keep your eye on Fort Henry social media channels for announcements.

Only service animals are permitted. 

Parking

Parking is available at no charge on site.

Accessible parking is located closest to the entrance path into the Fort.

Accessibility

Wheelchairs will also be available for use at the entrance path to Fort Henry.

A shuttle will be available for guests with accessibility needs from the main parking lot to the Lower Fort before and after the event. Services will be available starting at 6:20pm, 6:40pm and 7:00pm.

Please note the shuttle is not accessible via a ramp and that balcony seating is not accessible.

We appreciate your patience, as there may be a short wait time between shuttles.

Fort Henry’s Tattoo includes live music and drumming, rifle firings, cannon firings, and fireworks.

Retail & Dining

Commissariat Store
Yes, cold beverages, warm pretzels, cookies, fresh popcorn and various confection will be available in the Commissariat Store located in the Lower Fort before the event begins and during intermission.

Battery Bistro

  • Two seating times available at 5:00 pm & 5:30 pm.
  • Open for reservation only. Call 613-542-7388 ext. 4208 to book.

Guests are encouraged to self-assess and to remain at home if there is any possibility that they may have contracted or have come into contact with COVID-19.

Guests may bring their own personal protective equipment; gloves, masks and/or face coverings, hand sanitizer and disinfectant cleaning products if they wish.

Cleaning practices have been enhanced throughout the site.
