Fort Henry Tattoo

The iconic Fort Henry Tattoo returns on Saturday, July 22, 2023, as a renewed celebration of performance with a fusion of music and dance as performers from across Ontario and Québec showcase their extraordinary talents.

The parade square at Fort Henry National Historic Site will come alive with an extraordinary mix of sights and sounds while embracing military traditions. Immerse yourself in the exhilarating rhythms, captivating melodies, and astonishing choreography brought to life by our incredibly diverse lineup of performers.

A spectacular fireworks finale that will leave you in awe. Don’t miss this unforgettable experience that combines tradition, diversity, and pure excitement!

General

Located at 1 Fort Henry Drive, Kingston, Ontario.

The show is approximately 2 hours in length from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Access to the lower Fort opens at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins promptly at 7:30 p.m.

General Admission includes bleacher seating and is first come first served seating.

Premium seating includes:

  • A reserved seat in the elevated balcony section of Fort Henry.
  • A comfortable high-back chair with armrests.
  • An optimal view of the performance.
  • A complimentary chocolate chip cookie from our bakery.

Advanced reservations are recommended as balcony seats are limited. Please note that balcony seating is not accessible.

Bleacher seating is provided for all guests; outside chairs will only be permitted for accessibility reasons.

Washrooms will be available in the Advanced Battery and in the Lower Fort. Enhanced cleaning measures are still in place.

Yes, the show is designed for a bilingual audience and includes content in both English and French.

The show goes on! The event takes place entirely outdoors, so please be prepared for the weather. In the case of severe inclement weather, Fort Henry may choose to delay or cancel the show for the safety of our guests and staff. Please keep your eye on Fort Henry social media channels or through email for announcements.

Only service animals are permitted.

Parking

Parking is available at no charge on site.

Accessible parking is located closest to the entrance path into the Fort.

Accessibility

Wheelchairs will be available for use at the entrance path to Fort Henry.

A shuttle will be available for guests with accessibility needs from the main parking lot to the Lower Fort before and after the event.

Services will be available from 6:30pm-7:30pm and after the show from 9:30pm onwards.

Please note the shuttle is not accessible via a ramp and is not equipped with accessibility features such as lifts.

We appreciate your patience, as there may be a short wait times between shuttles.

Fort Henry Tattoo includes live music and drumming, rifle firings, cannon firings, and fireworks.

Retail & Dining

Commissariat Store
Cold beverages, warm pretzels, cookies, fresh popcorn and various confection will be available in the Commissariat Store located in the Lower Fort before the event begins and during intermission.

Ordinance Store
Cold beverages and assorted confections will be available at the Ordinance Store located in the Lower Fort before the event begins and during intermission.

Mrs. Henry’s Treat Shop
Cold Beverages and assorted confection will be available in Mrs. Henry’s Treat Shop located in the Upper Fort before the event begins, during intermission, and upon completion of the event.
