Challenge yourself and your friends to storm Fort Henry! Cannonball Crush is an exciting and limit-testing 5 km race with more than 15 formidable obstacles which take strength, determination, and team spirit to overcome. Novice to advanced competitors race throughout historic Fort Henry and surrounding grounds to conquer the course and earn bragging rights.

Cannonball Crush is a fun, exciting, yet challenging race with over 15 obstacles designed to test strength, determination, and team spirit.
The Cannonball Crush course is 5 kilometres.
Cannonball Crush takes place at Fort Henry in Kingston, Ontario. Fort Henry is a National Historic Site of Canada as well as a World Heritage Site along with the Rideau Canal. The Fort was built in the 1800s to defend the Rideau Canal, the Royal Naval Dockyards, and Kingston harbor from American aggression. Today, Fort Henry is a living history museum, depicting British Army life in the year 1867.
Parking is free! You can park your vehicle in our main parking lot beside Fort Henry’s Great Hall.
Fort Henry will remain open during the event. Operating times are 12pm to 5pm. The Trade Square will also be open to the public.
Racers must be 18 years or older on race day to participate.
If you are over the age of 18 – you are welcome to compete! Cannonball Crush has been designed for all fitness levels. We encourage everyone to try and conquer Fort Henry.
Every registrant will receive a Cannonball Crush memorabilia item, professional chip timing, entry to YGK Beer Fest, free parking, and bragging rights!
This is a non-refundable event. Though you may still receive your race kit on the day of the race or at a later date of your choosing. You may also transfer your registration to a friend, for assistance contact email@example.com.
If you or a teammate are no longer able to attend but have already registered, we cannot offer a refund. However, teams may replace members under the same registration. For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Cannonball Crush provides challenging obstacles that include climbing, crawling, jumping, and more. The course is unique with both modern and historical themed obstacles.
Race day registration and bag check begin at 7:30am at Fort Henry’s Great Hall. We recommend all Crushers arrive at least 1 hour before your start time. This year we are also offering a pre-race check-in on Saturday, June 3rd from 10am-5pm. Within these times you can pick up your racer kit which includes all items necessary for your race.
Running shoes are necessary. Other than that, feel free to dress up however you want, many individuals and teams come dressed in costumes! Please note that you will get muddy and wet, so plan accordingly.
Spectators are welcome and encouraged! There will be spectator zones with great views of the action, and there is no admission cost to watch your loved ones Crush through the course from these zones. Feel free to invite them to YGK Craft Beer Fest, taking place the same day on the hill at Fort Henry! Only race participants will be provided with a complimentary ticket to YGK Craft Beer Fest.
The final date for new registrants or changes to an existing registration is June 1, 2023. This deadline is to ensure racer kits are properly packed and ready for the big race!
No. Valuables should be locked safely in your car.
Racers will get one (1) complimentary ticket to YGK Craft Beer Fest in their race kit. Be sure to keep track of where you keep your ticket as complimentary tickets will not be replaced.
To redeem, you may visit the YGK Craft Beer Fest entrance gate with exclusive access from 11am-12pm. Please note gates open for YGK Craft Beer Fest at 12pm. When you check in your complimentary admission ticket at the booth, you will receive a branded cup and may purchase beer tokens.
Guests are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items in support of Partners in Mission Food Bank. Most needed items include pasta sauce, stewed and canned tomatoes, canned meat and fish, 100% fruit juice, peanut butter, cereal, baby food, diapers and monetary donations.
Food Bank donation bins and scannable QR codes will be available outside of the event entrance.
