Get ready to confront your deepest fears as you step into a world filled with more scares and haunting scenes than ever before.

Dare to venture through the haunting passages, where lurking shadows and ghoulish apparitions await to test your nerves. This is not for the faint of heart. Protect yourself with a scare shield or challenge your fears!


Dark Nights on Thursdays!

Embrace the darkness at Fort Fright as we turn off all the lights, leaving you to brave the unknown with just a single eerie flashlight to guide your way. Step into the shadows with Dark Nights. This chilling new offering is the ultimate thrill. Mark your calendar for Thursdays, October 9, 16, 23, and 30, where Fort Fright transforms into a haunted realm like never before. Each group will be plunged into the heart of darkness, where every creak and whisper takes on a sinister meaning.


Zero tolerance policy for harassment towards scare actors and staff. Fort Henry reserves the right to remove any guest. No outside food or drinks permitted. Read the FAQ for more details and event rules.

Safety Information

Yes. If you are sensitive to strobe lights, please inform our staff prior to entering the haunted attraction. Signage will advise guests before strobe lights are experienced.

If you would like to experience Fort Fright, but think that you will be nervous or scared, you can purchase a Scare Shield for $6 to ward off direct scares. This will signal to our Scare Actors that you do not want to be scared. You have the option of turning off the shield if you change your mind.

If you find yourself too scared to continue, simply approach the nearest staff member. This could be a scare actor, but they will break character to assist you. Let them know you’d like to be escorted out of the experience, and they’ll be glad to help. Scare actors can either call for assistance or personally guide you out of the haunted house. Don’t worry about their scary makeup, they are very friendly! Your comfort and enjoyment are important to us!

No, scare actors will not touch you during the Fort Fright experience. We kindly ask guests not to touch them either, to ensure everyone’s safety and respect personal boundaries.

At Fort Fright, we prioritize a safe and enjoyable environment for all. Any verbal or physical abuse towards scare actors will not be tolerated. Guests engaging in such behaviour will be immediately escorted off the site. Our scare actors are equipped with radios to stay in contact with our security and management team, ensuring a swift response to any issues. Please note that there are no refunds in such cases. Let’s all have a hauntingly good time while respecting one another’s boundaries!

Up to 5 people can be together at once. Occasionally, groups up ahead may cause a bit of bottleneck as people tend to travel at different paces. Please be patient.

Event Information

Mostly outdoors. Please dress according to the weather.

Plan for at least 1 hour of spine-chilling adventure at Fort Fright. This includes our Haunted House section, Interactive Zone and other thrilling experiences. Guests can stay in the interactive zone as long as they wish.

Fort Fright is constantly evolving! Each year, our creative team and partners diligently refresh the experience, bringing in new scares and thrilling encounters for all guests. While we may reuse certain props, rest assured, there will be plenty of fresh surprises awaiting you!

Yes. We do allow costumes while attending Fort Fright but please note that full face masks are not permitted, nor are props such as fake weapons.

Yes, you are encouraged to take photos and share on social media, but please avoid using a flash in dark areas to ensure you do not ruin scares, shock scare actors or ruin the experience for other guests. Video is not permitted. We encourage everyone to post their photos on Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #FortFright.

Only a small bag/purse will be permitted. No backpacks or large bags allowed. No outside food, beverages, drugs or weapons are permitted inside the attraction.

Ticket Information

Tickets are available online only. Select a check-in time for your Fort Fright experience. Present your ticket at the check-in booth upon arrival on your phone or printed.

As Fort Fright is an outdoor event, it will be offered rain or shine. Please dress appropriately.

In the chance of extreme inclement weather, we may choose to close and will post cancelled evenings on Fort Fright’s social media channels and Fort Henry’s website.

All ticket sales are final and non-refundable.

Your ticket grants you access to the complete Fort Fright experience. Explore the massive Haunted House, interactive experiences and activities in the lower fort, check out the gift shops and food/beverage options, or opt in for a coffin ride. Get ready for a thrilling adventure that covers it all!

Fort Fright is not recommended for children under 13. Children under 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Each ticket grants one entry into Fort Fright. Once you’ve experienced the thrills, you won’t be able to go through a second time. This ensures that all guests have the chance to savour the scares of Fort Fright. We hope you make the most of your haunting experience!

Accessibility

The experience takes place outdoors, mostly on uneven gravel pathways with ground conditions that may change with the weather. For guests who require the use of a wheelchair, an all-terrain wheelchair is recommended.

Fort Henry wheelchairs are available to guests of Fort Fright. Pick one up in the South-West corner of the parking lot (subject to availability).
