Survive the Night

NEW “The Following” Experience

The Following is a brand-new Haunted Maze located within the Interactive Parade Square. Guests (aged 16+ only) will complete a mysterious trial in order to join a secret society.

The twist? Guests must navigate the trial while blindfolded, relying only on their senses to make it through. Those who successfully reach the end will come face to face with their new leader and be officially welcomed into The Following.

Are you worthy?

Dark Nights

Do You Dare?

The Dark Night Experience is a special version of Fort Fright where all attraction lighting is turned off, and guests must navigate the experience using only a flashlight provided by staff. You never know what’s lurking in the shadows…

Dark Night Experiences are held every Thursday in October (8, 15, 22, and 29).

Dark Nights are intense and are not recommended for young children due to the heightened scare factor.

Only Fort Fright-issued flashlights are permitted.

Accessibility

The experience takes place outdoors, mostly on uneven gravel pathways with ground conditions that may change with the weather. For guests who require the use of a wheelchair, an all-terrain wheelchair is recommended.

Fort Henry wheelchairs are available to guests of Fort Fright. Wheelchairs may be requested at the admissions booth just down the pathway from the Main Parking Lot.

Is “The Following” Experience Accessible?

The Following requires participants to wear a blindfold and hold onto a handrail with their right hand throughout the 3-5 minute experience. Guests will encounter ramped elevation changes and sections that require walking while crouched. We encourage guests with concerns to speak with our staff onsite before entering the experience.

No, scare actors will not touch you during the Fort Fright experience. We kindly ask guests not to touch them either, to ensure everyone’s safety and respect personal boundaries.

At Fort Fright, we prioritize a safe and enjoyable environment for all. Any verbal or physical abuse towards scare actors will not be tolerated. Guests engaging in such behaviour will be immediately escorted off the site. Our scare actors are equipped with radios to stay in contact with our security and management team, ensuring a swift response to any issues. Please note that there are no refunds in such cases.

If you would like to experience Fort Fright, but think that you will be nervous or scared, you can purchase a Scare Shield for $5 +HST to ward off direct scares. This will signal to our Scare Actors that you do not want to be scared.  You have the option of turning off the Shield if you change your mind.

If you find yourself too scared to continue, simply approach the nearest staff member. This could be a scare actor, but they will break character to assist you. Let them know you’d like to be escorted out of the experience, and they’ll be glad to help. Scare actors can either call for assistance or personally guide you out of the Dry Ditch Maze. Don’t worry about their scary makeup, they are very friendly! Your comfort and enjoyment are important to us!

No. Each ticket grants one entry only to ensure a smooth guest flow.

As Fort Fright is an outdoor event, it will be offered rain or shine. In the chance of extreme inclement weather, we may choose to close and will post cancelled evenings on Fort Fright’s social media channels and Fort Henry’s website.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
